Lee Andrews arrested again in Dubai over unpaid debts
British television star Katie Price's husband faces an extended travel ban after fresh legal problems
- Lee Andrews reportedly arrested again in Dubai on Friday
- Businessman said to be trying to raise £120,000 debt
- Arrest comes a month after release from Al Awir prison
Businessman Lee Andrews was arrested again in Dubai on Friday, July 10, 2026, over outstanding debts totalling thousands of pounds. The 43-year-old was taken into custody and brought to Lahab Police Station just weeks after his initial release from Al Awir prison. He is currently attempting to raise £120,000 to settle his liabilities.
The Sun reported that Andrews was under major stress in the days preceding this second arrest due to escalating financial pressures. An anonymous source alleged that Andrews contacted a friend from custody, confirming the detention and suggesting his wife might need to secure his bail through an online fundraising campaign.
Former partners have frequently accused him of financial misconduct, including one ex-partner who claimed Andrews took out a £200,000 mortgage in her name without permission. Additional allegations include a £123,000 investment loss from another former partner, which prompted a strict travel ban restricting Andrews from leaving the United Arab Emirates.
The ongoing legal troubles come roughly one month after Andrews was released from his first stint in detention. While previous reports indicated he was held due to fraud allegations, Andrews consistently denied those claims, instead asserting he was abducted at gunpoint after being mistaken for a spy. Court documents reveal his current liabilities include approximately £54,000 linked to a rental vehicle and £15,000 owed to a local law firm.
A representative for Andrews told The Sun that he recently appeared before the court to explain that his temporary inability to pay stemmed from a lack of access to a specific bank account while his wife was out of the country. The spokesperson confirmed Andrews requested an additional 14 days to clear the outstanding amount. Media personality Katie Price, 48, remains in the United Kingdom following the release of her television documentary and a recent appearance on This Morning, where she revealed her family refuses to meet Andrews because of the mounting public controversies.
