Megan Fox shuts down ageist criticism over lingerie photos

Megan Fox has hit back at an ageist social media comment after sharing a series of lingerie photos on Instagram, responding with a sharp one-line comeback.

The 40-year-old actress posted several images of herself wearing a black mesh bandeau top, lace underwear and a sheer veil on July 16.

The photos featured Fox posing in front of an orange backdrop, including one shot with a glowing halo above her head.

She accompanied the post with a caption referencing the biblical story of Eve.

"Men would have them believe disobedience was Eve's vice, when it was her greatest virtue," Fox wrote.

While many fans praised the actress, one commenter criticised the photos, calling them "unbelievably embarrassing" for "a 40-year-old mom."

Fox quickly responded to the remark with a sarcastic reply that drew attention online.

"Which one of my exes is this," she wrote.

The actress is a mother of four. She shares sons Noah, Bodhi and Journey with former husband Brian Austin Green, while she welcomed daughter Saga Blade Fox-Baker with former fiancé Machine Gun Kelly.

Many of Fox's followers also came to her defence, with one fan writing, "Fun fact, you can still be hot at any age," while another argued that turning 40 does not make someone too old to post confident photos.

The exchange comes months after Fox made her return to Instagram in April 2026, following a lengthy break from the platform.

She reintroduced herself with a new set of photos and the caption, "Everything is more beautiful because we are doomed."

Fox had previously wiped her Instagram account clean in 2024 while marking her 38th birthday, removing all posts and unfollowing everyone before eventually returning to social media.
