Prince Harry set for Buckingham Palace stay as royal ties continue to heal

Prince Harry is reportedly set to be offered accommodation at Buckingham Palace during his next visit to the U.K., signalling another step towards repairing relations with King Charles following their recent family reunion.

According to reports, the Duke of Sussex, 41, is expected to return to Britain in September, when the King will offer him a room at the royal residence.

Buckingham Palace and Prince Harry's representatives have not commented on the claims.

The reported gesture follows Harry's recent visit to the U.K., during which he, Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, reunited with King Charles at Highgrove House.

The meeting marked the monarch's first time seeing his California-based grandchildren since 2022.

The reported offer also comes after confusion surrounding Harry's accommodation during his July trip.

Although the King had reportedly extended an invitation for Harry and his family to stay at a royal residence, the arrangements became the subject of a public disagreement after the offer was initially declined and later revisited.

Instead, the Sussexes spent part of their visit at Althorp, the Spencer family estate, where Princess Diana grew up and is buried.

The visit gave Archie and Lilibet an opportunity to learn more about their late grandmother's family history.

Harry and Meghan previously lived at Frogmore Cottage before stepping back from royal duties in 2020 and relocating to California, later vacating the Windsor home.

The Duke is also expected to return to Britain in 2027 when Birmingham hosts the Invictus Games, while discussions over his U.K. security arrangements are reportedly ongoing.
