Reality television personality Jenny Slatten and her husband Sumit Singh updated followers on her battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in a video posted to Instagram on July 27, 2026. The 68-year-old 90 Day Fiancé star addressed claims regarding her health, confirming she is not bedridden or hospitalised. Speaking in the clip, Singh clarified that Slatten remains capable of walking, talking, and managing daily tasks independently with his support.
TMZ reported that the couple addressed online speculation asserting Slatten was confined to a hospital bed. Singh stated that such claims were false and noted that Slatten was displeased by the false reports. He added that the couple has initiated the application process to secure an American visa, allowing him to travel to the United States as her primary caregiver because Slatten can no longer fly unaccompanied due to her medical condition.
Slatten addressed viewers directly in the video, acknowledging her slurred speech while reiterating that she remains capable of taking care of herself alongside Singh. The 38-year-old husband added that he remains dedicated to assisting her. Slatten publicly disclosed her ALS diagnosis in May 2026. The couple currently resides in India, where Slatten lacks medical insurance and seeks to avoid burdening her three daughters living in the United States.
In the video caption, the pair thanked fellow castmate Sarper Güven for dedicating a stand-up comedy performance to raise funds for Slatten's treatment. An online GoFundMe campaign established to cover her medical expenses has raised over $99,000 towards a $171,700 target. Slatten and Singh first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way in 2019 before marrying in 2021. The couple currently features on 90 Day: The Last Resort Season 3.
