Prince and Princess of Wales Prince William and Kate Middleton have poured in love for the late Queen Elizabeth II on her first death anniversary, being observed at the Balmoral palace.

On behalf of the Prince and Princess of Wales, their official Instagram account shared a carousel of photos with the late Queen smilingly attending royal engagements.

In one photo from the shared series, her Majesty can be seen surrounded by her grandchildren, while another photo featured the memorable balcony photo on the occasion to mark her platinum jubilee.

“Today we remember the extraordinary life and legacy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth. We all miss you. W & C,” the royal couple wrote in the caption.


Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie also penned a heartfelt note in honour of her late grandmother as she remembered her on her the Queen’s first death anniversary,

Thinking of you today. Missing you so much but remembering what a life of service, love and dedication to everyone and to your family, who loved you so very much. Forever grateful to you. And always in my heart," she wrote in the caption alongside a picture of her with the late queen.

In a picture shared by the 33-year-old princess, Queen Elizabeth II can be  seen socking up the sun sitting on a bench with her granddaughter.


Meanwhile, King Charles and Queen Camilla also headed to a service at Crathie Church close to the royals’ Scottish estate, Balmoral, on Friday morning for the anniversary of the late Queen’s death.

The Monarch and the Matriarch arrived at approximately 10 a.m. U.K. time for the service.
