Kris Jenner admits cheating on Robert Kardashian with Caitlyn Jenner
Kris Jenner addressed her regret in a recent episode of 'The Kardashians'
Kris Jenner, the matriarch of the renowned Kardashian-Jenner clan, has admitted that her affair with Caitlyn Jenner during her marriage to Robert Kardashian Sr. was a "huge mistake" and, today, stands as her "life's biggest regret."
In a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kris,67, had a candid conversation with her daughter, Khloé Kardashian, regarding her past infidelity with Caitlyn.
During this heart-to-heart discussion, Kris shared that her unfaithfulness to her late husband, Robert Kardashian Sr., was something she considered to be the most significant “regret" of her life.
This revelation took place as the two were discussing Khloé's former partner, Tristan Thompson, and during their conversation, Khloé, who is the founder of Good American at 39, inquired her mother about it, "What was your mindset when you cheated?"
The momager added, "When you did that with my dad, and you had four kids and you had a family? Yes, I know you were really young...."
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star responded in a composed manner, clarifying that her youthful inexperience and lack of understanding about the repercussions of her choices contributed to her actions.
Khloé, still seeking further insight, posed the question once more, asking, "But what was my dad not doing that made you want to look elsewhere?"
Kris then admitted, "I don't know because he was such a great husband and such a great dad, and I think that I fell into a situation where I thought that the grass was greener somewhere else, and I made a huge mistake. That’s my life’s biggest regret."
"When I got divorced, Robert and I became best friends. We talked on phone all day long, helped each other through things all the time, and I did have regrets," the socialite added.
Kris explained, "I thought, Wow, what I was thinking? So I want Khloé to be really careful when she makes these decisions and she has to let somebody go."
The mother-of-six was in a marriage with Robert Sr. starting from July 1978 and until March 1991. During this time, they welcomed four children, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Robert Jr.
Kris first encountered Caitlyn (who publicly revealed her transgender identity in 2015) in 1990, a year prior to her divorce from Robert Sr. being officially completed.
In April 1991, shortly after her divorce from Robert Sr. was finalized, Kris and Caitlyn became married.
Their union, which produced daughters Kendall, 27, and Kylie, 26, lasted for 22 years before they declared their separation in 2013.
