‘The Crown’ season 6 trailer shows spine-tingling moments before Princess Diana, Dodi’s fatal crash
'The Crown' season six trailer sees Princess Diana struggling in her final days before the fatal car crash in Paris

Netflix’s critically acclaimed royal drama series The Crown is truly living up to its hype after the much-anticipated trailer for the sixth and final season of the show has been unveiled.
The new trailer of the sixth season offers viewers a spine-chilling glimpse at the final months of Princess Diana’s life; her struggle with paparazzi following her divorce from then-Prince Charles and her fatal car crash on August 31, 1997.
In the new two-minute and twenty-second trailer, Elizabeth Debicki reprises her role as the Princess of Wales. The trailer opens with scenes showing Diana looking forlorn as she plays the piano.
Debicki is also seen sitting sadly on a pool diving board, and then entering a private plane amid the flashing of paparazzi cameras following her everywhere.
“I don’t know how I ended up here, dashing around and losing sight of myself in the process,” Diana’s voice says in the background.
“I think that’s been the story of my whole life.” The Crown season six will largely focus on Diana’s death at the age of 36. While on a trip to Paris, the Princess and her partner, Dodi Fayed, sustained fatal injuries in a car crash in the Pont de l’Alma tunnel.
The trailer also features a brief scene, showing Diana holding a handwritten note, presumably from Dodi that reads: “Paris next week?”
While Diana’s death scene is not shown on-screen in the trailer, the clip shows the aftermath of the event, with Prince Charles seen comforting his sons after receiving a phone call in the middle of the night.
“Set against a background of raw emotion, the royal family remains silent,” the voice of a broadcaster says.
Queen Elizabeth II, played by Imelda Staunton, then asks: “What do people want from me?” Prince Charles responds, “For you to be mother to the nation.”
The trailer ends with a poignant glimpse of Diana’s iconic paparazzi photo, featuring her sitting in the famous blue swimsuit on the edge of a yacht’s diving board.
Peter Morgan’s historical drama series – The Crown - based on the British royal family will come to an end with its sixth season, which is being split into two parts.
The Crown Season 6 Part One will be available on Netflix from 16 November. Part Two will be released on December 14.
