Lionel Messi friend comes forward in footballer's support after affair allegations

Lionel Messi finds himself amidst swirling rumors about the alleged infidelity that have captivated the sports world, especially concerning his 15-year relationship with wife Antonela Roccuzzo.

Recently, Brazilian outlet Direto Do Miolo posted on X, claiming that Messi's longstanding relationship with Roccuzzo was facing a significant crisis due to an alleged affair with Argentine journalist Sofia Martinez.

Daniella Semaan, a close friend of Messi and Roccuzzo, took to Instagram to dismiss the rumors, stating, "What publication is this that has no meaning and has nothing right." 

She refuted the credibility of the sources quoted by the Brazilian outlet, indicating that the speculation was unfounded.

The Inter Miami star and Roccuzzo, who have known each other since childhood, got married in 2017 and share three sons: Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro. 

Despite reports from Messi's native Argentina last month suggesting a potential romantic involvement with someone other than Roccuzzo, Semaan's denial adds weight to the dismissal of such claims.

Fans had previously speculated about Messi's relationship with Martinez, particularly after an exchange during an interview at the Ballon d'Or ceremony.

However, Semaan's firm denial aims to put an end to the rumors, reinforcing the enduring strength of Messi and Roccuzzo's relationship.
