Mahira Khan reveals her ‘needed’ haircut for late Parveen Babi look

Mahira Khan delighted her fans with her ‘needed’ new haircut for the tribute to late Parveen Babi.

Taking to Instagram, the Bin Roye starlet posted a video showcasing her freshly cut hair to pay tribute to late Indian star Parveen Babi.

In a shared video, Mahira adorned herself in a dazzling pink saree, opting  new haircut to emulate the iconic style of the late Indian fashion icon. 

Despite facing the challenge of recovering from multiple foot fractures, she shared the behind-the-scenes process, showcasing her dedication.

Mahira's video features a photoshoot where she gracefully mirrors Parveen Babi's essence in the pink saree.

Additionally, the footage incorporates an interview clip where Mahira discusses the inspiration she drew from Parveen Babi, “So I remember seeing this Time magazine cover and it had the gorgeous Parveen Babi on it. It's because of that cover that I actually watched her films. Some of her songs I just love. She was so beautiful, such a style icon."

She melodiously croons a snippet of Parveen's renowned track Jawani Janeman Haseen Dilruba from the movie Namak Halal.

In another clip, she donned a silver kurta ensemble, positioned before a colossal screen streaming Parveen Babi's songs, immersing herself in the ambiance as if channeling inspiration.

On her Instagram Stories, she shared, "This was a tough shoot, my first since my foot injury (three fractures in my right foot to be precise). I couldn't move much and I was hating it. The team was sooo loving and caring…love you guys @lovefuryal @museluxe."

Khan also posted a snap and mentioned, “Also.. you rockstar! @saimabargfrede- cut my hair right before the shoot because I knew that we needed that for the Parveen Babi look. Your hands are magic.”

The fresh appearance of the Humsafar star has prompted her fans to shower her with delightful and affectionate comments.

One wrote, “Wow! I’ve never seen Mahira act or deliver this gracefully before. There has always been something lacking( or too much) previously. This is simply stunning.”

Another added, “Mahira is completely love.”

The third noted, “Wow. How stunning and gorgeous you are this is the one of the best ways to pay homage to an actress”

On her professional front, Khan is preparing for a new project alongside Fawad Khan in the upcoming Pakistani film Neelofar.
