Italia Ricci, Maggie Q and others mourn loss of late star Adan Canto

Adan Canto, best known for his roles in The Cleaning Lady and Designated Survivor, passed away at 42.

As per the reports, the Agent Game star left the entertainment industry in mourning after his private journey with appendiceal cancer.

It is reported by Deadline that Adan's reps at UTA, Entertainment360 and Viewpoint shared, "Adan had a depth of spirit that few truly knew. Those who glimpsed it were changed forever.”

He was born in Mexico and raised in Texas. The late star was also a singer, guitarist and filmmaker.

Adan’s Stephanie Canto paid tribute to her late husband on Instagram.

She penned, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Forever my treasure Adan, see you soon.”

Italia Ricci was also among the renowned celebrities who honored the X-Men Days of Future Past actor.

She wrote, “I’m completely lost for words. He was the strongest person I know in every sense of the word and I am so angry that this happened. No one deserved this less than this sweet, brilliant, kind, and gentle man. (expletive) cancer. (expletive). I’m so sorry for everyone hurting at this devastating loss and am beyond heartbroken for his family. You’ll be in my heart always. “

The American actress and activist Maggie Q penned a lengthy note for Adan.

Maggie called him a “beautiful friend” and added, “You are the level of person that Hollywood didn’t even deserve. Kindness and warmth and generosity of spirit- total dedication to your family, and ALWAYS doing the right thing. No one had your moral compass nor did they even come close. I don’t understand this. Anyone who knew you was a lucky one. “
