Nicola Peltz Beckham sets internet ablaze with ‘Lola’ trailer

Nicola Peltz Beckham has finally dropped the trailer of her directorial debut, Lola.

The supermodel’s upcoming film’s trailer crossed 10k views in just 10 hours.

The most-awaited movie follows the tale of a teenage girl Lola James (Peltz Beckham) who works hard to save enough money to get her little brother, Arlo (Luke David Blumm), out of their toxic home dominated by their mother, Mona (Virginia Madsen).

An official synopsis for the film, whose trailer dropped Thursday, reads, "All Lola wants is for Arlo to have a chance at the life she never had, nor will. One tragic night, her whole world gets uprooted, and from that moment on, nothing will ever be the same."

Nicola posted the trailer on Instagram and penned, “thank you so much to this amazing cast and crew (hearts) Lola out February 9th.”

Soon after the actress dropped the trailer, her fans swamped the comment section with love and appreciation.

A fan wrote, “NICOLA and her team been working on this project for 6 years!! Can’t wait to see it! February 9 we’re sooo ready.”

Another one commented, “Sometimes love just isn't enough. I grew up in a similar manner and chose not to have kids. No matter how much I would have loved them, I couldn't keep from passing on what I know of as love to them. I wish people would give more thought to having kids before they take that leap.”

The trailer begins with Nicola saying in a voiceover during a montage of scenes, "I'm the person I am today because of the people that help me and the people that hurt me."

Aside from Nicola Beckham, Luke and Virginia , Lola also stars Trevor Long, Raven Goodwin, Sunil Narkar, Stephen Graybill, Richie Merritt, Taprena Michelle Augustine, Kevin Toms, VJ Foster, Stephanie Erb, Phil Ursino, Akai Allan, Hilda Boulware, Will Peltz, Lena Georgas and Diana Tankaka.

Lola will release on February 9, 2024.
