Sam Richardson celebrated 40th birthday party with his 'Ted Lasso' co-stars

Sam Richardson revealed details about his 40th birthday party, which he celebrated with his Ted Lasso co-stars, on January 12, 2024.
In and exclusive interview with PEOPLE magazine, during the Emmys Performer Nominees Celebration, on Saturday, Richardson told that he received help from the Ted Lasso co-actors during his birthday celebration.
The Detroiters actor told, "I had a big party at the Den in West Hollywood, a bunch of my friends came out, It was great. It was really fun.”
Richardson also shared that he rented out a venue in Los Angeles and invited about 200 friends, including Ted Lasso co-stars Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt.

Talking about that he thought the timings for the birthday party were not ideal, the Hooking Up star said, "Yeah, because with the awards pushing to January, I was kind of worried at first."
He went on to say, "I was like, Oh no, is everybody going to be too busy? and it’s like, no, everyone's gonna be in town, so it worked out."

Richardson, who recently won an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a comedy series for his role in Ted Lasso, also explained that he likes birthday parties because they provide chances to have a meetup with friends.
The 40-year-old actor said, "I like my birthday parties because everybody who doesn't get to see each other gets to see each other, so it's always like, oh my God, I haven't seen you in so long. "
Highlighting the fun moments from the night, the Veep star talked about the thrilling playlist, saying, "Four of my friends DJed and swapped it up, all my favorite music ska and hip-hop and classic rock and yacht rock so it was a good party."
Richardson also joked about struggling to blow out 40 candles on his cake, saying, "The candles were on the outside rim, the cake was presented to me, and I'm having to blow over the cake and so it took me, like, four times and it was embarrassing."
