U.S. Air Force officer Madison Marsh has been crowned Miss America 2024 on Monday.

Hailing from Colorado, the 22-year-old, a second lieutenant, stands out as the first active-duty Air Force officer to hold the prestigious title.

Her victory was announced in Orlando, Florida, succeeding Grace Stanke of Wisconsin.

Marsh, currently pursuing a master's degree at the Harvard Kennedy School, sent an inspiring message during her interview, declaring, "You can achieve anything. The sky is not the limit, and the only person that’s stopping you is you."

Her words resonate with her remarkable journey, originating from a small town and entering the pageant world, showcasing that anyone can overcome obstacles.

As a member of the U.S. Air Force, Marsh's win is a historic moment for the military community.

The U.S. Air Force commemorated her achievement on X, proudly referring to her as 'our very own.'

"Congratulations to our very own #Airman, 2nd Lt. Madison Marsh, aka Miss Colorado — who was just crowned @MissAmerica 2024! Marsh is the first active duty servicemember to ever win the title," the post read.

The pageant featured 51 contestants from U.S. states and the District of Columbia.

In an interview before the pageant, Marsh expressed her motivation, stating, "It’s an awesome experience to bring both sides of the favorite parts of my life together and hopefully make a difference for others to be able to realize that you don’t have to limit yourself."

Marsh emphasized the importance of leadership and breaking constraints, symbolizing her commitment to inspiring others to pursue their passions.
