Dua Lipa made waves with her dating rumours with British actor Callum Turner
Dua Lipa has been candid about the lessons learned from her recent breakups.
In Rolling Stone's February cover story released on Tuesday, the Houdini singer revealed that concluding a relationship without animosity was a valuable learning experience for her.
Dua, 28, expressed that ending a relationship amicably was both a novel and positive encounter for her.
“I think I’ve had breakups in my life where I felt like the only kind of breakup you could have was when things just ended really badly,” she said
The Levitating crooner added, “Things ending in a nice way was such a new thing … It taught me a lot.”
She revealed that the positive breakup she experienced served as the inspiration for a track she holds dear on her upcoming album.
While the specifics of the song's title and release date remain undisclosed, it is hinted to revolve around the theme of embracing maturity and finding oneself in a healthy state as an ex begins a new chapter.
During the song, Dua said to express through vocals.“I must have loved you more than I ever knew … I’m not mad/I’m not hurt/You got everything you deserve.”
She added, “When you have a feeling like that one, you feel really grown because you’re like, ‘Oh, whoa, I’m such an evolved human being that I can see my ex move on and feel good about it,’”
Dua discussed the emotions conveyed in her upcoming song without disclosing the specific inspiration behind it.
