Adam Harrison, the son of Pawn Stars creator Rick Harrison, died due to an overdose at the age of 39.

TMZ broke the news of his tragic passing as soon as Harrison’s representative, Laura Herlovich, confirmed his passing to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

"Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss," Herlovich shared  on behalf of the Harrison family.

The Harrison family learned of Adam’s death on Friday, January 19, 2024. The circumstances of what led to Adam overdosing are unknown, including when and where the unfortunate incident happened.

Rick Harrison took to his official Instagram account to post a precise yet emotional tribute to his son with the caption, "You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam."

The Las Vegas Metro Police Department confirmed to TMZ that an investigation into the cause and situation of his death is going on.

Adam was the second child of Rick Harrison and his ex-wife, Kim. He is the younger brother of Corey Harrison, who also appears on Pawn Stars.

He reportedly worked at Gold & Silver Pawn Shop prior to the series' 2009 premiere. However, he has not recently worked at the pawn shop.

For further insights, PEOPLE reached out to Herlovich and the Las Vegas Metro Police Department on the same day of Adam’s death, however, they did not hear back.
