Rachel McAdams, the original Regina George of 2004's Mean Girls  called up  Reneé Rapp for her musical gig at Saturday Night Live or SNL.

As reported by PEOPLE, McAdams made a surprise appearance on SNL to introduce Rapp, who also starred as Regina George, but in this year’s musical adaptation of Mean Girls.

The 45-year-old star rocked a red-coloured suit and a purple roll necked sweater as she arrived on the show with her hands clasped together.

She grinned as the audience gave her a thundering round of applause and cheered over her surprise cameo on the SNL stage.

This surprise introduction on SNL comes almost a month after, an exclusive interview with PEOPLE where Rapp was all praises about her character, in Mean Girls, originally played by McAdams in the 2004 film.

“She’s determined. Something about that is hot to me. The mean girl is always hot to me,” The Sex Lives of College Girls actress said.

Rachel McAdams gestured towards Rapp as she said, "Ladies and gentlemen, once again,  Reneé Rapp!"

Reneé Rapp, then began her musical performance of the song Not My Fault as Megan Thee Stallion joined her on stage, marking the episode’s second surprise and exciting cameo.

The 24-year-old artist mesmerized the audience with her vocals in the song Not My Fault, as the musical guest on the latest episode of SNL, that aired on January 20, 2024.

This episode was hosted by Jacob Elordi, who introduced Rapp’s second musical gig, her song, Snow Angel.
