America Ferrara celebrated her first ever Oscars’ nomination for best supporting actress in Barbie with The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants costars over facetime.

Taking to her Instagram account on Wednesday, the Ugly Betty actress offered a peek into her reaction over being nominated for The 96th Academy Awards with a captivating video.

The video, which according to Ferrera is an enactment of how she reacted to the big good news having her The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants costars on Facetime.

Ferrera, who was facetiming with her former costars reenacts her reaction when her husband insists.

 The adorable Instagram reel then captures the Barbie alum talking and laughing over the video call with her gal pals, who appeared equally happy and excited.

The Dumb Money actress penned a sweet caption alongside a series of videos, “Re-enactment for @ryanpierswilliams of when I got the news that I’m Academy Award nominated!!!!!He was taking the kids to school so I was at home alone but he insisted on a re-do.”

She continued, “And then there was a lot of screaming with some of my sisters on FaceTime. I’m still processing. Needless to say- wow! What a thing! Childhood dream realized.”

“Thank you @theacademy @barbiethemovie and the Queens Greta and Margot who we all know deserve everything for what they gifted the world!”, concluded America Ferrera with gratitude for Barbie’s lead Margot Robbie and director Greta Gerwig, who faced an unexpected snub at the Oscars 2024 nominations.

America Ferrera role in 'Barbie':

America Ferrera, who recently bagged a SeeHer Award at Critics Choice Award last week, played the role of Gloria, who was a mother and Mattel employee with unfulfilled aspirations and self-doubt in the real world.

Ferrera created waves with her empowering monologue in Greta Gerwig's hit film, and won the hearts of her fans globally.

The 39-year-old actress delivered an inspiration speech while receiving the honour.

"Truly, your voices shape how people think about and value the stories we tell. I’m deeply thankful to you for this acknowledgment and this honor," she began in her heartfelt speech.

 "Receiving the SeeHer Award for my contributions to more authentic portrayals of women and girls — could it be more meaningful to me? Because I grew up as a first-generation Honduran American girl in love with TV, film and theater, who desperately wanted to be a part of a storytelling legacy that I could not see myself reflected in," Ferrara added.
