Luke Combs and Tracy Chapman performed together at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards

Luke Combs penned a tribute to Tracy Chapman following their performance of the hit-song, Fast Car, at the 66th Grammy Awards.
On Friday, February 9, 2024, taking to his official Instagram account, the country music star recalled the star-studded awards ceremony and his moving duet on stage, with Chapman.
He uploaded a carousel that featured two photos of the 33-year-old Grammy nominee beside the 59-year-old singer and songwriter.
The first picture shows the two in a selfie, widely smiling at the camera during the night of their performance.
“What an unreal Grammy week to say the least. There were so many laughs, tears, hugs, and cheers that it almost doesn’t seem real,” wrote Combs in his caption.

In the second photo the musicians can be seen embracing each other on stage after they concluded their duet.
“When it comes to the performance it’s still hard to process how amazing it really was to be up there on that stage. No doubt a defining moment of my career,” his note further read.
Expressing his gratitude to Chapman, Combs continued, “Tracy, I want to send my sincerest thanks to you for allowing me to be a part of your moment. Thank you for the impact you have had on my musical journey, and the musical journeys of countless other singers, songwriters, musicians, and fans alike.”
“I hope you felt how much you mean to the world that night. We were all in awe of you up there and I was just the guy lucky enough to have the best seat in the house," his note concluded.
Shortly after Luke Combs' sweet Instagram post, Chapman took to her official X account (formerly Twitter) to reshare it with the caption, "The kindest words."
