Beyoncé and her song, Texas Hold ‘Em made it to the Country Radio after her dedicated fanbase convinced the Oklahoma based music station to play one of her new tracks, post denial of the request earlier.

On Tuesday, February 13, 12024, a fan of Beyoncé on X, formerly known as Twitter initiated a conversation online about whether the Grammy winner’s new music should be welcomed into the country airplay.

They even posted about their previous failed attempt to request Texas Hold ‘Em on Oklahoma station KYKC 100.1 FM.

Anonymous X user uploaded a screenshot of their email exchange with the radio station and wrote, “I requested Texas Hold ‘Em at my local country radio station (KYKC) and after requesting, I received an email from the radio station stating “We do not play Beyoncé on KYKC as we are a country music station.”

“This station needs to be held accountable for their blatant racism and discrimination against Beyoncé,” they wrote in a post, replying to them.

Beyoncé’s entire fandom flocked together to inform KYKC, the country music station, that the Single Ladies hit-maker had tried her hands at this particular genre too, in two of her latest tracks.

“#BeyHive! Let's kindly educate Oklahoma country radio station 1001 KYKC that Beyoncé's upcoming project and already released singles are indeed country music! Remember to be kind and diplomatic,” tagging the station’s X handle, a fan tweeted.

Apparently, the radio outlet appeared to have started responding to several fans on the same social media platform and said that the song, Texas Hold ‘Em would be played at the station.

“Lots of [calls] coming in for Beyoncé’s Texas Hold ‘Em. It’s coming up in minutes,” they further wrote, on Tuesday afternoon, with a post featuring the photo of their playlist.

Beyoncé surprised her fans by dropping two hot new singles titled Texas Hold ‘Em Back and 16 Carriages, on Sunday, February 11, 2024, during this year’s Super Bowl.
