David Beckham has reflected on his visit to India on the occasion of International Women’s Day in his gratifying tribute.
The former footballer shared about his inspiration in the resilience and determination of young women and girls he encountered during his visit last year.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, Beckham posted a series of photos from his visit along with a touching caption.
He kicked off his note, “Last year in India I met some amazing young women and girls who are standing up against child labour, child marriage and gender-based violence and inspiring other young people like themselves...”
While emphasizing the issues that should be highlighted on this day, Beckham noted, “This International Women’s Day is a reminder that investing in the health, education and rights of adolescent girls can create a positive ripple effect across the world.”
