Ryan Gosling sings Taylor Swift's 'All Too Well' in SNL Farewell to his Ken character
Ryan Gosling returned to 'Saturday Night Live' on April 13 for his third appearance as host
Ryan Gosling has bid farewell to his hit character of Ken in Barbie with a touching rendition of Taylor Swift's hit song All Too Well while performing at Saturday Night Live on April 13.
The Notebook star garnered attention with a humorous and musical monologue in which he pledged to refrain from making "any jokes about Ken" and said that he had to "break up" with his character in Greta Gerwig's highly anticipated 2023 film Barbie because their relationship had "gone too deep."
Gosling also revealed that he might talk about his infamous character in Greta Geig’s film, after all "letting go just feels like a break up."
The La La Land star continued that for "processing a break up," there was "really only one thing that can help. The music of the great Taylor Swift!"
He initiated the performance but Blunt, who costarred with Gosling in The Fall Guy, stopped him, urging him to remove the fur coat that Ken had on and chastising him for singing about him 'again' rather than promoting their film.
She told him "Ryan, you have to move on. It's time," adding, "Ken is dead."
