King Charles bestows prestigious title on THIS special personality
King Charles III grants esteemed and reputable title to special personality
King Charles III granted a new royal title upon the newly appointed Aga Khan after the recent but unfortunate passing of his predecessor.
After Prince Karim Al-Hussaini’s demise, the king gave the title of "His Highness" to his 53-year-old son, Prince Rahim Al-Hussaini, the new Aga Khan.
Hello! Magazine reported that Buckingham Palace confirmed his awarded prestigious title, continuing the royal tradition of honouring and recognising the spiritual leader of the global Ismaili Muslim community.
In July 1957, Queen Elizabeth II gave the same title to the late Aga Khan, two weeks after his grandfather unexpectedly chose him as heir to the 1,300-year-old Ismaili Muslim leadership.
The king was in deep sorrow and extremely disheartened after hearing the news of the late Aga Khan’s passing as he was not just a leader to the Ismaili Muslim community but a dear friend of Charles as well as Queen Elizabeth II.
However, following his unfortunate death at 88-years-old last week, Aga Khan IV was succeeded by his son, who is now Aga Khan V.
He also played a very vital role as the founding patron of the King’s Trust.
A funeral took place in Lisbon, on Saturday, with a private burial in Aswan, Egypt, on Sunday.
