Taylor Swift celebrates major victory with longtime friend Selena Gomez

Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez don’t hold back when it comes to celebrating each other’s professional and personal milestones.

In the most recent sighting, the 35-year-old singer was spotted with her longtime bestie, Gomez, as they dined at The Monkey Bar in New York City, in photos obtained by Deuxmoi.

The appearance comes after Swift marked a major achievement in her two-decade-long music journey.

"All of the music I've ever made now belongs to me. I've been bursting into tears of joy... ever since I found out this is really happening," the Blank Space songstress announced on her official website via an open letter.

For the unversed, Swift’s original music recordings, called masters, garnered a lot of attention in 2019. That year, music manager Scooter Braun brought her old record label, Big Machine Records, which gave him ownership of the first six albums she had recorded.

As a result, the Getaway Car musician expressed her unhappiness and publicly spoke out, saying that she didn't get a chance to buy her music back. This led to a public feud between her and Braun.

Later, in 2020, Braun sold her master recordings to a company called Shamrock Capital for around $300 million. However, on Friday, May 30, Swift announced that she has regained control of her masters in an agreement with Shamrock.

The news quickly set the internet ablaze and was celebrated by fans all across the globe, as well as many of her famous friends.

"Yes you did that Tay! So proud," Gomez penned on her Instagram story.

It is worth noting that Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez have been friends since 2008, when they both met through the Jonas Brothers.
