Rico Rodriguez recalls hilarious moment with Sofia Vergara
Rico Rodriguez reflects on time on 'Modern Family'

Rico Rodriguez reflected on his off-screen dynamic with his Modern Family co-star Sofia Vergara and reflected on how they unintentionally started to mirror their characters on the show Manny and Gloria.
While chatting with Jesse Tyler Ferguson, on his podcast, Dinner's On Me, who played Mitchell Pritchett on the sitcom, the 26-year-old actor shared a hilarious memory where he felt like his character in real life.
He joked that he ended up doing "chores" for the Griselda star, simply because he knew her lines by heart.
"It was so funny because, like, I always would be with Sofia. And, you know, I mean, it's very well known how Sofia, she sometimes goes off the rails," he playfully shared, referring to her improv abilities.
Rico went on to reveal that he got "played" by the 52-year-old Colombian and American actress after helping her out one time.
"I love Sofia, but I, I got played," he told the 49-year-old host. "One time, being the nice person that I am, Sofia was late to the table read, and I was like, 'I know how she marks her lines on her script'. So I was like, 'you know what? Let me be nice and and let me mark her script for her.'"
He recalled that one time Sofia had arrived late to a table read, and since he had her dialogues memorized he kindly highlighted her lines for her. When she saw the sweet gesture she thanked him with a smile and a gentle tap on his cheek.
But little did Rico know he was in for a surprise, as next week, when she arrived and glanced at her script, Sofia turned to him and exclaimed, 'Rico, you didn't mark my script.'
Jesse and Rico laughed as they discussed the memory and Rico continued, saying, "I go, 'What? I didn't know I was supposed to. I did it one time because I was nice!'"
Although he went on to reveal that he had no problem helping her out as he loved Sofia a lot.
