David Harbour makes shocking admission about love life after split with Lily Allen

David Harbour has reflected on his past romantic relationships and made a bold admission.

In a recent Interview Magazine with Scarlett Johansson, the 50-year-old actor opened up about why he struggled to date "normal people," in his younger years.

When the Black Widow star questioned the Stranger Things actor if he tends to only date actors, he quipped with a reference to a recent episode of Apple TV series, The Studio.

"They just did an episode where Seth Rogen is the head of a studio and he’s dating an oncologist," he went on to explain.

He continued, "They go to an event together, and she’s like, ‘Oh my God, it’s so sweet what you do with movies.’ He’s like, ‘Hey, you cure cancer. But once the cancer’s cured, people go to the movies and find meaning.’ The other doctors start making fun of him, and he kind of loses it."

"There’s something about that ideology with normal people," David added.

The Hellboy star further spoke about the challenges of connecting with people outside the entertainment industry, sharing that it can be complicated.

David admitted that in his 20s he had tried dating people from other professions but it never really worked out.

"I tried to date lawyers and business people in my twenties," he stated. "But there’s something about being a carny freak that normal people don’t get."

This comes after his split with his ex-wife Lily Allen after being married for four years.

Back in February, sources came forward and shared with People, "Her marriage has been crumbling, and they have split."
