Prince Harry and Meghan Markle eyeing a royal comeback?

In what’s being described as the “biggest hint yet” of a possible royal return, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have sparked fresh speculation that they may be considering a path back to public duties.

According to the Mirror citing multiple reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have recently submitted passport applications for their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet that reportedly include both the HRH titles and the surname "Sussex."

This is because Harry reportedly wants to keep the HRH titles for his children so that when they grow older, they can decide for themselves whether they want to become working royals, or stay out of public life.

While the move has left many scratching their heads, it has been seen by some insiders as "the biggest hint" Prince Harry and Meghan want to return to the royal fold.

Writing in The Daily Mail, royal commentator Richard Eden noted: “The suggestion gives the biggest hint yet that they're hoping to mend fences.

“And it raises the question: Could the Sussexes, who chose to give up boring old public duties to seek their fortune in the US, stage a return to the royal fold via their children?”

“I find this very hard to understand,” one royal source confided to Eden.

“Harry and Meghan apparently found official duties and life within the Royal Family unbearable, yet they want this for their children. It doesn't make sense.”

Since stepping back from their roles in 2020, the Sussexes have carved out a distinct life in Montecito, California.
