King Charles extends shocking invitation to Prince Andrew for Garter Day 2025
Prince Andrew has been Knight of the Garter since 2006

Prince Andrew has surprisingly been invited to be a part of the 2025 Order of the Garter celebrations by King Charles; albeit, with an exception.
Though the Duke of York was stripped of most of his royal and military titles by his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, he still remains a Knight under the Order of the Garter.
Therefore, a source for the palace has shared, “He won’t participate in the procession but he has been invited to the lunch and investiture.”
Earlier in the day, the disgraced royal drove himself to Windsor Castle, where the royal ceremony is set to take place today.
While the British monarch’s invitation to his brother is considered a “compromise” on the part of both parties.
On a related note, the Order of the Garter parade is seen as one of the most prestigious traditions as part of the British monarchy.
This chivalrous order dates back to as early as the 14th century, meanwhile different members of the royal family and other notable personalities are bestowed the honour by the active ruler of the time.
Prince Andrew has not been permitted to attend the Garter Day procession for four years now, as King Charles upholds the same tradition this year as well, following the Duke’s involvement with notorious criminal Jeffrey Epstein becoming public.
