Amber Heard set to make acting comeback after two years of her movie 'Fire'
Amber Heard will make her stage debut in the world premiere of playwriter Jeremy O. Harris’ new production, ‘Spirit of the People’

Amber Heard is set to make her acting comeback after two years since she was last seen in Fire movie.
The 39-year-old actress made her debut in a 2004 film, Friday Night Lights and since then she has been working on both television and in films.
After a two-year hiatus from acting, the Drive Angry actress is now preparing to return to work but her next project won’t cater a larger audience.
According to Variety, Amber will make her stage debut in the world premiere of playwriter Jeremy O. Harris’ new production, Spirit of the People.
The world premiere of the play will take place at the 2025 Williamstown Theatre Festival in Williamstown, Massachusetts in the northwest corner of the state.
The 2025 festival will start from 17 July to August 3 but it is unclear on which day the Spirit of People will debut.
Details about Amber's character remain under wraps, but she will be joining a cast that includes Brandon Flynn and Lio Mehiel, whose names just announced on Monday, June 23.
For the unversed, Amber’s career trajectory was impacted by her prolonged legal battle with ex-husband Johnny Depp, whom she split with in 2016.
The feud starts in 2018, when Amber wrote a controversial article in The Washington Post in which she revealed herself as a victim of domestic violence.
Two months later, in February 2019, Johnny sued the actress for $50 million for defamation, claiming that the article has damaged his reputation even though it didn’t name him.
In the trial, the jury favored Johnny, awarding him $10 million in compensatory damages.
Following that, Amber countersued for $100 million, claiming that she only used violence in self-defense or defending her younger sister.
The court found that Depp's attorney defamed Heard in an interview in 2020 and she was awarded $2 million.
