Heather McComb ties the knot with Scott Michael Campbell in outdoor wedding
The couple celebrated with a large wedding party surrounded by family and friends
Heather McComb has married fellow actor Scott Michael Campbell in an outdoor ceremony in Missoula, Montana, marking a new chapter in her life following a period of personal loss.
The couple tied the knot on May 30 in an intimate yet large-scale celebration surrounded by family and friends.
McComb later shared details of the wedding on social media, describing the day as emotional, faith-filled, and deeply meaningful.
“Yesterday @scottmichaelcampbell and I under the covenant of God got officially married… surrounded by the people we love most in the world in our most favorite city Missoula Montana,” she wrote, adding that their hearts were “full and humbled” by the support they received.
McComb, 49, was previously married to the late actor James Van Der Beek from 2003 to 2010.
Van Der Beek, best known for Dawson’s Creek, died in February at the age of 48 following a battle with stage 3 colorectal cancer.
The wedding ceremony featured a large bridal party, with McComb joined by 13 bridesmaids while Campbell had 12 groomsmen.
The event took place outdoors in Montana, a location the couple described as especially meaningful to them.
In wedding photos shared by Dennis Webber Photography, McComb wore a lace-embellished gown with a long veil and a cross necklace, while Campbell opted for a white tuxedo jacket paired with black trousers and a black tie.
Campbell also posted his own tribute to the occasion, writing that he felt “beyond blessed” and thanking friends and family for making the celebration memorable.
McComb’s remarriage comes three months after she publicly mourned the death of Van Der Beek, expressing grief and reflecting on the long history they shared.
She previously described him as having a “pure heart” and spoke about the enduring connection they maintained over the years.
Van Der Beek had since remarried and was survived by his wife and six children.
