Natalie Portman's two Kids: What she has said about parenting
Natalie Portman tries to keep her children out of the spotlight, but they're aware of her prominent career

Natalie Portman and her ex-husband, Benjamin Millepied, have two children: son Aleph, born in June 2011, and daughter Amalia.
After 11 years of marriage, the couple separated in July 2023 and finalized their divorce in February 2024.
According to a source close to the ex-couple, Natalie prioritized ensuring a smooth transition for her children. "She and Ben genuinely love their kids and are committed to being the best co-parents they can be," the source said.
As a mother, Portman tries to keep her children out of the spotlight, but they're aware of her prominent career.
In fact, her kids motivated her to take on the role of Mighty Thor in Love and Thunder.
"I feel like it's the phase of my career where I'm really trying to just impress my kids," Portman told Variety in June 2022.
Portman has spoken about the impact of motherhood on her life.
After Aleph's birth, she reflected on her first year as a mother, telling Elle Canada that her son had made her life better.
"I've got more patience, definitely," she said.
When seeking parenting advice, Portman turned to fellow actress and mother Cate Blanchett. "You just do," Blanchett told her. "Stressing about it doesn't help."
One thing Portman and her son have deeply bonded over is their passion for sports. Aleph is a "fierce soccer player," and Portman is proud to support female athletes. As a co-owner of Angel City FC, she emphasizes the importance of her kids growing up with strong female role models in sports.
