Is Kate Middleton in danger of being overshadowed by Queen Camilla?

Royal preparations for the state visit of French President Emmanuel Macron are currently underway, while Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla are both lined up to perform important duties during the upcoming engagement.

The visit, which is set to commence tomorrow, will include a grand state banquet that is sure to have royal followers talking for days.

According to an expert in the business of jewellery, however, there is a possibility that the younger royal may be outshined by her older counterpart.

Managing director and co-founder of Europe’s largest online diamond jeweller, 77 Diamonds, Tobias Kormind shared details about pieces likely to be worn by the two royal ladies during the highly anticipated gathering.

While he speculated that the Princess of Wales may choose to wear “the Lover’s Knot Tiara, one of her favourite tiaras”, the Queen may look to make a “bolder statement”.

“In contrast, Queen Camilla may opt for a bolder statement tiara like the Greville Tiara, renowned for its striking honeycomb design,” the jeweller told GB News.

The diamond entrepreneur further noted that the Queen Consort also wore the same tiara during the German state visit in 2023.

Meanwhile, President Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, will land in the UK on July 8 for a three-day state visit.

Upon his arrival, Kate Middleton and Prince William are expected to greet the couple at an airbase northwest of London.

While Queen Camilla will accompany King Charles during the President and his wife’s arrival at Windsor.
