King Charles carries out major tradition with Indian Cricket team
King Charles comforts Indian team after crushing defeat

After a hard fought battle at Lord's Cricket Ground, the Indian Men’s Cricket team were welcomed by King Charles in the serene garden of the Clarence House.
As the Head of the Commonwealth, the 76-year-old Monarch warmly greeted the visiting team.
Just hours after England’s tense 22-run victory, the Royal meeting commenced.
It was an intense and fierce showdown, which came to a thrilling end as Ben Stokes bowled exceptionally, securing the win.
Upholding a time honoured tradition, the Clarence House reception marked the King’s continued practice of welcoming touring Commonwealth cricket teams.
The England team gave a stellar bowling performance, claiming three key wickets as India was bowled out for 170 chasing a target of 193.
During the match’s nerve racking ending, the audience saw Stokes bowl tirelessly from the Nursery End.
India’s batting crumbled as Jofra Archer sent Rishabh Pant off stump flying and Stokes struck a successful LBW, removing KL Rahul for 39.
Ravindra Jadeja stepped up, showing remarkable defiance, and shared a steady 15-over stand with Nitish Kumar before being joined by Jasprit Bumrah.
Battling for 22 overs, Jadeja and Bumrah added hard earned 35 runs, until Stokes ended the resistance with a well-directed ball that led to a catch.
Refusing to give up, Jadeja carried on the fight with last man Muhammad Siraj, getting closer to their target but despite all the efforts England had taken the win.
