The Royals don’t seem to hesitate from repeating outfits worn on different occasions, despite being able to wear any clothing they could desire.

There were often times when many Royal members were seen rewearing outfits.

Here is a list of the iconic looks that have been repeated.

The late Queen’s turquoise look

Style consistency was important for Queen Elizabeth. Since each of her hats were custom-made to perfectly match her elegant ensembles, it came as no surprise that she kept consistency in her looks and appearances.

Take her Tiffany blue coat, with white pleated dress, and a matching hat: a look she repeatedly wore between 2006-2010, from Buckingham Palace garden party to the Wimbledon tennis finals.

However, each time, she would switch things up by elevating the look with a different brooch and or shoes.

In November 2017, Meghan Markle’s engagement look, donning a chic white wrap coat over a green dress, sent her fans into a major frenzy. But, as it turns out, behind her viral outerwear, it was the simple, yet elegant green dress that seemed to be more liked by the Duchess of Sussex.

The iconic piece was designed by Italian brand Parosh resurfaced two years later as the former actress stunned in it again for the WellChild Awards in 2019.

But this time around, Meghan paired it with a tan Sentaler coat, casually draped over her shoulder, instead of her white layer.

Princess Kate stunned in a decade old dress from her closet to wear to Prince William’s environmental event, inaugural Earthshot Prize Awards in 2021.

The Princess of Wales first wore the beautiful lilac Alexander McQueen dress just months after her wedding in 2011, at a BAFTA event in Los Angeles.

Then 10 years later, she gave the dress another chance, giving it a modern twist as she replaced the original white belt with a shimmering silver one.

Princess Diana’s white-and-black polka-dot dress

Although Princess Diana often repeated outfits as well, her approach was a little different from Queen Elizabeth’s. The late Princess often altered her dresses for different occasions for a fresh and updated look.

For instance, after rocking a white-and-black polka-dot dress to the Epsom Derby in 1986, she later gave it a surprising makeover by removing the peplum skirt.

During her 2025 diplomatic trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina for a meeting at the Presidency building with Željko Komšić, the Duchess of Edinburgh donned an elegant and classic Prada polka dot dress, an outfit she had also previously worn to King Charles's pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace in December.

Priced at £3,500, the 'Georgette' style dress highlighted a flattering fitting silhouette, sharp collar, and detail button accents.
