It’s no secret that the Royals receive gifts on nearly every visit, and surprisingly, they can accept them.
However, according to the Royal family’s website, the Royals do need to follow one strict rule before accepting any sort of gift, which is, members must not accept anything that could seem like it places them under any obligation to the giver.
As long as there are no strings attached, receiving gifts are permissible.
Over the years, the Royal Family have collected some of the most extravagant and jaw-dropping presents from all nations and world leaders.

A Golden Horse Comb
Among the unique Royal gifts, Queen Elizabeth II was presented with a striking 24 a 24-carat gold-plated horse comb called the Golden Heritage, by President Borut Pahor of the Republic of Slovenia.
South African Bull
In 1995, the late Queen Elizabeth II was gifted a majestic White Nguni bull from King of Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu of the Zulus during her trip to South Africa. However, the animal never made it to the United Kingdom and stayed back in South Africa.
The Nizam of Hyderabad necklace
Among all the extravagant royal wedding gifts, the Nizam of Hyderabad’s necklace remains unmatched in its magnificence.
Valued at approximately £80 million, the necklace, which was gifted to then Princess Elizabeth in 1947 before her wedding to Prince Phillip, is seemingly regarded as one of the most stunning and exquisite pieces of jewellery.
Once known as the richest men in the world, the Nizam of Hyderabad, a title that holds no weight today, offered the then Princess Elizabeth the chance to pick any piece from Cartier. She opted for a platinum necklace adorned with 300 diamonds.
An Elephant
Back in 1972, Queen Elizabeth II received one of the most unusual gifts imaginable, a real, live elephant, making it the strangest but an unforgettable present.
The elephant name Jumbo was a gift from Cameroon’s President Ahidjo. While it never got to stomp around on the grounds of Buckingham Palace, Jumbo found a home in London Zoo and later at Whipsnade Zoo, in Bedfordshire.
Purple Salt
For her 90th birthday, the late Queen was presented with a truly unique present, an entire bag of purple salt.
Steeped in Royal history, the unusually coloured purple from British Virgin Islands symbolised and honoured a historic tradition of paying yearly rent to Queen Victoria from its Salt ponds.
