Prince William breaks social media silence with special message for England
William, Prince of Wales congratulates England women’s team on their semi final victory

Prince William is currently not participating in public engagements as he continues to enjoy summer holidays with his family.
However, an event which the Prince of Wales always takes great interest in obliged him to make his presence known online.
As the England women’s team, also known as the Lionesses, cruised past Italy in the UEFA Women’s Euro semi final today, the future king congratulated his country’s side via Instagram.

“Brilliant performance @lionesses! One game from glory!” the heir apparent wrote for his team who will be playing the tournament’s final.
Notably, England’s women will take on either Germany or Spain, as the two teams are set to take on each other in the second semi final of Euros, to be played tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Lionesses clinched a stunning victory after trailing one goal to nil for the majority of the game.
Until the 96th minute arrived, and England’s Michelle Agyemang scored the equaliser which sent the match into extra time.
From there, the English side took over with the winning goal scored by their forward, Chloe Kelly.
England will now play the Women’s Euro final on Sunday, July 27, where Prince William is also expected to make an appearance.
