King Charles under fire for major blunder in England’s congratulatory message
King Charles previously congratulated England’s Lionesses on making Euros final

King Charles congratulated the England women’s team on their stunning victory against Italy to qualify for the Euros final.
The King’s message was published on his various official social media channels as England won 2-1 in their semi final clash.
“Your achievements continue to inspire countless girls and women across the nation, proving once again that with dedication and teamwork, anything is possible,” part of the message read.
However, soon after it was published, the statement was taken apart by eagle eyed online users who noted a glaring omission in the congratulatory message.
Michelle Agyemang, the 19-year-old English forward who scored the equaliser which prevented her side from a humiliating defeat and sent the game into extra time, was notably absent from the team graphic which accompanied the King’s post.
In the picture, England’s coach Sarina Wiegman and Michelle’s other team members can be seen, and the football fans let Charles know that.
“Where is Agyenang?” a reply bluntly inquired, complete with eye roll emojis.
While another noted, “You’re literally the king, you have to do better than this.”
Meanwhile, other replies suggested that his majesty was not to be blamed for the picture used in the post.
“I love how all the haters comment that the King left someone out of the photo. He didn’t take the photo. It’s one of the publicity photos of the team. No one is being slighted,” one user replied.
In addition to King Charles’ message, Prince William was another royal family member who congratulated the Lionesses, while he is also confirmed for travelling to Switzerland to observe the Sunday’s Euros final.
