Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be looking to King Charles for financial support following the expected end of their multi-million dollar Netflix deal, according to royal expert Robert Jobson.

Speaking on The Sun's Royal Exclusive show, Jobson claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could be seeking “handouts” after a series of career setbacks.

“Well, the deal was always set at about $100 million, wasn’t it?” Jobson said. “The reality is, in the past, they got support from the King and the late Queen. They've lost Spotify, they’ve lost Netflix. They can’t rely on the spare money forever, can they?”

Earlier this month, The Sun reported that aides for both Prince Harry and King Charles had met in London, sparking speculation that a truce between father and son could be in the works.

According to Jobson, the Sussexes’ recent overtures toward the palace may signal more than just a desire to repair royal ties.

“Where does it leave them? Probably with a bit of a bowl out, looking for some handouts. Maybe that's why they were over with their staff, were over here having discussions with the King. I don't know,” he went on to say.

This comes after reports that Netflix will not be renewing its five-year deal worth $100 million.

To note, Harry and Meghan signed their Netflix deal in September 2020 under their Archewell Productions banner.
