Matty Healy’s mom rolls out shocking remarks against Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift and Matty Healy briefly dated in 2023
Denise Welch, the mother of Matty Healy, recently took a jibe at her son’s ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift.
During her appearance at Watch What Happens Live on Thursday, July 24, the 67-year-old actress was asked by host Andy Cohen about what it was like when the 35-year-old singer released her Tortured Poets Department album last year.
While responding to host’s question in a cautious tone, the English actress said, “Obviously, on pain of death can I talk about that episode, but not being her mother-in-law is a role that I am glad that I lost.”
Her shocking confession about the Anti-Hero hitmaker continued, but this time Welch quickly tried to lower her tone bit down, adding, “Not that I have anything against her at all!”
The mother of lead vocalist of the British band, The 1975 concluded as she said, “It was just — it was tricky.”
It is worth mentioning here that Matty Healy and Taylor Swift had a short-lived romance in 2023.
Before dating the English singer, Swift dated Joe Alwyn for six years, while, Healy was known to have been in a long-term relationship with model Gabriella Brooks.
