Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are making sure nothing spoils their big day, as it is being reported that the lovebirds are ramping up security ahead of their wedding following details of their plans being leaked online.

According to the Daily Mail, an insider disclosed that the 33-year-old songstress has been gatekeeping the celebrity guest list due to privacy reasons after the wedding details were exposed.

"Security for Selena’s wedding will be of the utmost importance because not only is she a public figure, many of the guests will be too," a source told the publication.

Furthermore, it is also being reported that to ensure guests' security, Gomez is planning to implement a no-phones policy among the attendees of her matrimonial ceremony.

The confidant added, "She is going back and forth on whether or not to allow people to have their phones as an extra measure of security and privacy, along with the fact that she wants everyone to be present."

Gomez and Blanco are reportedly "fuming" and are left with no options, as they cannot delay their wedding plans due to their hectic, packed up schedules.

"If it wasn’t just two months away they’d think about changing the celebrations, but that’s an impossible task and they don’t want to delay the wedding and find a new location," another source told the outlet.

The insider concluded, "Instead, they’re doubling up on security to make the event as private as possible."

It is pertinent to mention that previously, the source revealed that the Rare singer and the Eastside crooner will exchange marital vows in a star-studded ceremony in September.

The report also suggested that the couple has already sent out invitations for the wedding ceremony to their loved ones.

Notably, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco announced their engagement in December 2024, after more than a year of dating.
