Netflix’s ‘Frankenstein’ unveils major look at Jacob Elordi’s mysterious creature

Netflix has shared the first look at Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming adaptation of the seminal sci-fi work, Frankenstein.

Featuring Jacob Elordi as the titular scientist’s monster creation, the latest unveiling of the movie’s stills has lifted the curtain on the look which still remains mostly under wraps.

While the film’s director also praised the Euphoria star’s casting, as the initially cast Andrew Garfield dropped out of the project nine weeks before the production’s scheduled start.

“Andrew Garfield stepping out and Jacob coming in. I mean, it was like Jacob is the most perfect actor for the creature,” the Oscar winning filmmaker told Vanity Fair.

“It’s alive! Your first look at Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Frankenstein’—and Jacob Elordi as the titular scientist’s monster—is here,” the outlet’s Instagram caption revealed.

While the Australian actor also spoke about the brief time he had to prep before the shooting started.

“Because I came in so late, everything happened on top of each other at the same time. I was shooting as I was seeing, as I was understanding,” he said.

Meanwhile, Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein also stars Oscar Isaac, Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, among others, and will be released by Netflix in November 2025.
