Anthony Anderson defends himself after Lindsay Lohan interview sparks outrage
A resurfaced interview of Lindsay Lohan and Raven-Symoné has been circulating on social media

Anthony Anderson is under fire after an old interview clip resurfaced online showing him making comments toward Lindsay Lohan that many fans are calling inappropriate.
The video, taken from a guest appearance Anderson made on The Sharon Osbourne Show, began circulating on social media over the weekend.
In the clip, the actor is seen interviewing a young Lohan and questioning her about her then-living situation with fellow actress Raven-Symoné.
Anderson asked Lohan whether there would be any “gentlemen” joining the two in their new apartment. Lohan shut down the question, making it clear that it would just be her and Raven.
Anderson followed up by pointing out that Lohan was single, to which Lohan responded, “I’m illegal for people that are old.”
“Well, you know some men like them young,” he said, then doubled down with a chuckle, “We ain’t going to mention no names but, you know, I’m one of them.”
The clip sparked criticism across social media platforms, with users calling the remarks unsettling and inappropriate, especially given Lohan’s young age at the time of the interview.
In response to the growing backlash, Anderson’s team issued a statement to Entertainment Weekly, stating that the comments were clearly meant to be comical.
“This interview was clearly intended as comedy,” a spokesperson said. “He regrets if the humor was in poor taste and maintains the utmost respect for Lindsay.”
The statement also pushed back against the online reaction, noting that “any implication to the contrary is both inaccurate and potentially defamatory.”
