We often see some of our favourite stars getting romantically involved and living happily ever after like Zendaya and Tom Holland, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, and Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra.

However, there are also some pairings that didn't last, despite being together for a long time like Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren.

These are all couples we knew about but there are some that flew under the radar and you likely don’t remember were a thing.

Aubrey Plaza and Michael Cera

While speaking on RuPaul’s podcast in 2016, Aubrey Plaza revealed that she and Michael Cera had dated for a year and a half. The two had met on the set of the iconic film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World in Toronto.

The 41-year-old actress and comedian also dropped a bombshell saying that they considered getting married in Las Vegas.

Mila Kunis and Macaulay Culkin

That ‘70s Show alum Mila Kunis and the Home Alone star were also romantically involved for nearly a decade. The former pair were in a long-term relationship from 2002-2011. While dating they kept their relationship away from the public eye and extremely private.

However, during the 41-year-old actress’, who is now married to Ashton Kutcher, conversation with Dax Shepard on his podcast, Armchair Expert, she described their break up with Macaulay as "horrible."

Josh Hutcherson and Vanessa Hudgens

The High School Musical star and The Hunger Games actor had a brief romantic relationship while they were filming for the 2012 movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.

While doing press in Australia, the two were asked about their past relationship during a TV interview. The 32-year-old actor playfully clarified that the two were no longer dating and joked, "But she broke my heart... No, I’m just kidding."

He went on to add that they dated a long time ago but now they have bonded as friends.

Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan

Met while filming the hit series Gossip Girl, Leighton Meester and Sebastion Stan also gave their romance a shot, making it easier for their characters on the show Blair Waldorf and Carter Baizen to have chemistry on screen.

They dated for two years, from 2008 to 2010 before calling it quits. 

Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles

After calling it quits with her long time partner Jason Sudekis, Olivia Wilde made headlines as she was suspected to be dating her Don’t Worry Darling co-star Harry Styles in 2021.

However, their pairing didn’t last long and the two separated in 2022.

John Mulaney and Olivia Munn

When it came out in 2021 that John Mulaney was ending his marriage with his long time partner Anna Marie Tendler and was also having a child with Olivia Munn, it sparked a stir online.

His relationship with the Predator actress was unexpected but over the years the two have only grown stronger and welcomed their son Malcolm in 2021 and got married in 2024. 

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston

Taylor Swift reportedly had a brief romantic relationship with the Loki star Tom Hiddleston in the summer of 2016.

Their pairing lasted for about three months, having only made a few public appearances.

Bill Hader and Anna Kendrick

It may come as a surprise to many but Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader also reportedly dated for over a year but since they are very private people they kept it under the wraps.

A source shared with People that they began dating after filming the 2019 movie Noelle and reportedly broke up in June 2022.

Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner

Back in 2009, Taylor Swift and the Twilight star Taylor Lautner were also romantically involved for a few months.

The former pair had met while filming 2010’s Valentine’s day and dated for a few months before going their separate ways.

Many fans believe that he was the inspiration behind the 35-year-old singer’s hit song Back to December, which Taylor herself said was written for someone who was amazing to her but it was her who was careless in the relationship.
