Vintage fashion revival shakes up Hollywood
Hollywood brings back golden age of style

Vintage is Back in Style
Hollywood is famous for reinventions, but this time it isnt about what's new or what's in. Rather, what’s evergreen. A-listers have shifted to reliving and resurrecting memorable fashion statements from yesteryear.
This cycle from red carpets to Instagram is giving birth to a glamorous revival that seems to have triggered a relatable community discussion.
The Old-School Glamour is Back
Flared 70s pants and oversized 90s shades, along with chic 50’s gloves, just to name a few. Celebrities with timeless style class are now uttering fast fashion good-bye and adapting to a style and fashion that is truly nostalgic.
Zendaya wore vintage Versace, in a gown from 01. Grunge chic was also brought back by Billie Eilish sporting oversized band shirts along with plaid skirts. Lastly, let’s not forget Margot Robbie and the Barbie press tour that was loaded with 80’s pop icon style.

The Aesthetic, Identity and Sustainability Resonators Behind the Trend
For stylists, it’s usually more than meets the eye and ignores logical reasoning. Tribalism is a factor artistically, and this has lots to do with identity.
As Jenna Morales, a celebrity stylist quoted, “Vintage fashion allows stars to stand out in a sea of sameness. It tells a story, and fans love a good story.”
Modern Icons, Retro Inspirations
Fashion stars of today have breathed new life into the styles of stars of yesteryears, such as Audrey Hepburn, Diana, Cher and others. While Styles continues to redefine gender norms with glam rock outfits whose Bowie would be proud, Florence Pugh’s corset gowns and pixie cuts are pure 90s Drew Barrymore.

Even fashion accessories are making a comeback with the return of silk scarves, mini shoulder bags, and chunky gold jewellery.
Retro Rules Takeover
The verdict is clear with a few scrolls on social media; retro reigns supreme. Influencers and celebrities are transforming their preferences and feeds into retro with photoshoot-like filters, vintage cuts, and thrifted fashion.
Fashion houses are also taking note. Gucci, Chanel, and Dior are reimagining their old designs for modern runways.
When Hollywood Makes A Full Circle
This is more than just a Hollywood phase—it’s a full fledged movement. And while the world is running towards the future, the boldest and smartest move can often be taking a step back.
So, brace yourself for the imminent fuel of butterfly clips, and bouffant and bell bottoms. When it comes to fashion, old really is gold.
