Sabrina Carpenter to Gigi Hadid: Celebrities who had teen romances together

Even the biggest stars had their share of teenage romances before fame took over. From awkward ghosting to first loves, here are a few celebrity teen relationships that fans may not know about:

Gigi Hadid and Cody Simpson:

Cody Simpson dated supermodel Gigi Hadid and the pair had a two-year, on-and-off relationship starting when they were 18 and 16.

In 2014, Gigi even appeared in Cody’s Surfboard music video, which he admitted was fueled by their chemistry, “It’s gonna be a kind of sexy video, so I want to get something that’s just, like, natural chemistry… We had a couple kisses on camera and stuff, and they honestly had to tell us to stop after they cut.”

Though their relationship ended, Cody spoke kindly about Gigi afterward, telling DuJour, “I love my ex-girlfriend, I always will. It was an amicable, mutual decision, and we still talk every now and then, but the highly publicized thing made me uncomfortable… I want to keep it low key, and focus on my music.”

Jade Thirlwall and Harry Styles:

Before One Direction became a global phenomenon, Harry Styles had a short-lived fling with Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall. The two “went on like one date” at age 16, right around the time Harry joined The X Factor.

Jade recalled on The Louis Theroux Podcast in 2025, “Then the minute they went on live shows, he didn't message me back, and I thought, 'That's it now, he's gone, he's made it.' And then I made it [on The X Factor] the next year, and then I saw him in the room after, and he was like, 'I'm really sorry that I ignored you.'”

She added that she didn’t take it too seriously, “I was so young, it didn't really matter. But he was always very, very lovely.”

Sabrina Carpenter and Bradley Steven Perry:

Long before Sabrina Carpenter became a pop sensation, she dated fellow Disney Channel star Bradley Steven Perry from ages 14 to 16.

On The Unplanned Podcast in 2024, Bradley said, “We dated when we were so young, you know. It was just like a little high school relationship, you know, when we were working.... She's unbelievably talented. She always has been.”

He also admitted that he always believed she’d become a star, “I always kinda knew she was someone who'd make it big because she was hardworking and very, very talented.”

Cody Simpson and Kylie Jenner:

Kylie Jenner and Australian singer Cody Simpson reportedly dated at 14. Their teenage romance didn’t last long, but Cody kept things lighthearted when asked about it years later.

In an appearance on Hello Ross, he quipped, “No, the whole K-O-D-Y thing didn’t really work out for me.”
