After three seasons filled with love, heartbreak, and growing up, The Summer I Turned Pretty is reaching its emotional conclusion.

The adored Prime Video series, based on Jenny Han’s bestselling book trilogy, will air its final part on September 17, 2025 marking the end of Belly Conklin’s journey at Cousins Beach.

The show has followed Isabelle “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung) as she steer her teenage years, first loves and tangled friendships.

Across three seasons, fans have observed Belly grow from an uncertain teen into a young woman figuring out who she wants to be.

Her story has been marked by a heart and often painful love triangle between brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), keeping viewers steep in who she will ultimately choose.

Creator and author Jenny Han revealed that the series finale will take a slightly different direction than the books.

Instead of the short epilogue in the final novel, she expanded the story into several episodes to give fans more time with Belly.

Viewers will see her leave Cousins Beach and start a new life in Paris, a symbolic step into independence and adulthood.

“I kept adding more and more to the last scripts the longer I was in Paris, because I kept thinking of more that needed to be included,” Han explained.

One of the most anticipated questions is who Belly ends up with. Han confirmed that Belly does make a clear choice between Conrad and Jeremiah, though it may surprise viewers.

Conrad writes love letters and even plans to go to Paris, but as Han hinted, “He and Belly aren’t in the same place. Are they going to meet at the same place in the road?”

The cast has promised that the finale will be heartfelt and emotional. Sean Kaufman, who plays Belly’s brother Steven, shared, “The third season … it just only gets crazier … Every episode, you think it can’t and it only gets crazier.” He also reassured fans they will feel “fulfilled” when the story ends.

Lola Tung admitted that filming the final scenes was an emotional experience. “We had so much fun filming it and I feel very proud of it. I think it’s going to be pretty epic … I think it ended up being really beautiful,” she said.

In the end, the climax is about love, growth and moving forward. It may not be a flawless fairy-tale ending, but it promises honesty, hope and termination as Belly steps into her future.
