In an industry often marked by short-lived connections and intense rivalry, genuine friendships can be hard to come by.

Yet, some women in Hollywood have defied the odds, building relationships that have lasted decades.

Check out some of the most long-lasting female friendships in Hollywood that prove sisterhood can thrive even under the spotlight:

Ariana Grande & Liz Gillies

From sharing the stage in 13: The Musical on Broadway in 2008 to starring together on Nickelodeon’s Victorious, Ariana and Liz have remained close ever since.

Over the years, they’ve continued to support each other’s professional endeavours, including Liz joining Ariana for a duet on her Sweetener World Tour in 2019 and Ariana watching her perform in the Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors in 2025.

“I see Ariana all the time, and we're constantly doing things, having new experiences and adding chapters to our book,” Liz told People in 2024.

Jennifer Aniston & Courteney Cox

The cast of Friends has undoubtedly lived up to the name of their show.

The on-screen best friends—Rachel Green, played by Jennifer, and Monica Geller, played by Courteney—share an extremely close bond.

Jennifer and Courteney have shared heartfelt moments from their time spent together during the holidays.

They also reunited in 2022 for charity by wearing Friends-themed shirts.

Drew Barrymore & Cameron Diaz

Drew and Cameron’s friendship started when they were adolescents.

Dating back to the 80s, Cameron,16 at the time, grabbed a cup of coffee from the shop where Drew worked.

However, the two maintained a low-key friendship until 2002, when Drew offered Cameron a role in the Charlie’s Angels reboot she was producing.

Since then, they duo have developed a sisterly bond.

Nicole Kidman & Naomi Watts

Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts attended the same school, but they really bonded on the set of Flirting in 1991.

"We've gone through a lot together over a significant amount of time. That history binds you," Naomi told People in 2017.

She added, "We have a strong respect and love for one another."

Taylor Swift & Selena Gomez

In 2008, Taylor and Selna dated Joe and Nick Jonas, respectively, and shortly after became close friends.

Selena even joked that their long-lasting friendship "was the best thing we got out of those relationships."
