Kate Middleton recently admitted that her children weren't particularly happy with her latest royal engagement.

On Thursday, October 2, the Princess of Wales toured RAF Coningsby for the first time since King Charles appointed her as its Royal Honorary Air Commodore, for a firsthand introduction to the base and its work as part of the Royal Air Force.

As she stepped inside the cockpit of a fully armed Quick Reaction Alert Typhoon, Middleton remarked that she wished her young ones had tagged along.

"My children were very sad. The boys, particularly," she said, as reported by Hello! Magazine.

Princess Kate also spoke about her youngest son, Prince Louis, who dreams of becoming a pilot, adding that she hopes to teach her three children about the dedication such a career demands.

"I'm going to tell them(her children) it takes eight years and a lot of hard work," she noted.

Later, the mom-of-three was given three toy fighter jets, one for each of her kids: Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

Middleton mentioned that they would "absolutely love” the gift but later confessed they’d also be “very upset that I’ve seen a Typhoon without them!”

Taking to the official Prince and Princess of Wales Instagram handle, she reflected on her amusing experience .

“Fascinating to see the Typhoon team in action and to meet the dedicated teams who can be called upon at a moment’s notice,” Kate said.
