Prince William takes subtle swipe at King Charles amid rift rumours
Prince William throws subtle shade at King Charles

Prince William seemingly appeared to take a subtle dig at his father, King Charles, just days after reports surfaced suggesting a rift between the father-and-son duo.
In an episode of The Reluctant Traveler, the Prince of Wales emphasised the significance of balancing “work and family life” and having a “stable home"
It seemed like he threw shade at King Charles, whose troubled marriage to Princess Diana famously impacted William and Prince Harry’s childhood.
“Getting the balance of work and family life right is really important. Because for me, the most important thing in my life is family, and everything is about the future and about if you don’t start the children off now with a happy, healthy, stable home, I feel you’re setting them up for a bit of a hard time and a fall,” the 43-year-old prince said.
William stressed the need to prioritise family and children’s futures by creating a safe and loving environment.
Towards the end, he reiterated that despite his parents' failed marriage, which took a toll on his childhood, he still tries his best to learn from it and makes sure not to repeat the same mistakes.
It is worth noting that this recent admission came amid speculation about Prince William and King Charles’s strained relationship, following Prince Harry’s visit to the U.K.
