Lori Loughlin, Mossimo Giannulli split after 28 years of marriage
Mossimo Giannulli and Lori Loughlin were married in 1997

Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli have gone their separate ways after nearly 28 years of marriage. The couple parents to daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, are currently living apart.
As per PEOPLE report, the Full House star’s representative, Elizabeth Much confirmed that, “They are living apart and taking a break from their marriage as there are no legal proceedings at this time.”
Selling their hidden hills mansion
The separation follows the couple’s decision to list their 11,800-square-foot home in Hidden Hills for $16.5 million in February.
They had purchased the property in August 2020 for $9.5 million, shortly after the college admissions scandal that brought them into the national spotlight.
The college admissions scandal
In 2019, Loughlin and Giannulli were accused of paying $500,000 to secure their daughters’ admission into the University of Southern California.
Olivia and Isabella were falsely presented as crew team recruits though neither had participated in the sport.
In May 2020, both pleaded guilty to charges of wire and mail fraud as Loughlin was sentenced to two months in federal prison and released in December 2020. Giannulli received a five month sentence.
Lori Loughlin’s return to the screen
After serving her sentence, Loughlin slowly returned to acting. She reprised her role as Abigail Stanton in When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas in December 2021 as the actress later starred in Fall Into Winter in January 2023 and A Christmas Blessing that November, both for Great American Family.
She also made a comedic appearance as herself in Curb Your Enthusiasm and has recently appeared in Blue Bloods and On Call.
Reflections on forgiveness and healing
In April 2024, Loughlin gave her first major interview since the scandal, speaking with First for Women Magazine. While she didn’t directly mention the controversy, she spoke about the importance of forgiveness and letting go.
“I try to be a forgiving person. I’m not one to hold onto stuff. Stuff happens to everyone. We’ve all been in positions to ask for forgiveness but to ask for it, you have to learn and know how to give forgiveness, too,” she said.
The actress explained, “My family wasn’t one to hold grudges... I was always told to let stuff go. And I think for your own health, you have to let things go because you can’t hang on to negativity. Life’s too short.”
Staying strong through life’s challenges
“For me, it’s just persevering,” she shared, adding, “As an actress, I hear 'no' a lot, so I just have to be myself and persevere and try not to let in negativity.”
Lori Loughlin added, “My advice is to just keep moving forward... There’s beauty in life, but there’s also hardship in life.”
