Tom Cruise’s split from Ana de Armas: Inside the shocking breakup

Tom Cruise has abruptly ended his nine-month relationship with Blonde star Ana de Armas — a split, which insiders told RadarOnline, followed his failed attempt to shape her into a “Scientology-approved bride.”

The Mission: Impossible star, who has often been linked to women from his professional circle, reportedly believed de Armas was “his perfect match” — glamorous, international and intensely private.

But according to those close to the couple, their romance began to unravel when the Top Gun actor’s deep-rooted religious beliefs clashed with de Armas’ independence and disbelief towards the Church of Scientology.

A source close to Tom Cruise revealed, “Tom was convinced Ana was smart, beautiful and someone who could walk beside him both professionally and spiritually. But when she pushed back against the Scientology side of his life, everything shifted.”

The insider added, “He likes things done a certain way, and Ana was never going to be someone he could mold. That’s when he realized she wasn’t the compliant, church-approved partner he’d hoped for.”

Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas reportedly met during talks for their upcoming underwater thriller Deeper, and were first photographed holding hands in Woodstock, Vermont, last July.

Their whirlwind romance appeared to move quickly with friends claiming that The Mummy actor was “showering Ana with gifts”, including designer clothes and rare books.

Despite their strong chemistry, the relationship ultimately could not withstand the clash of beliefs and lifestyles.
